People seek therapy for a wide variety reasons which could range from having a specific issue to
address, to a general feeling of needing “something” to change. Whatever the reason, I respect
that everyone wants/needs unique things from their therapeutic experience. My practice is rooted
in compassion. I honor all identities, complexities and experiences.
Much of the work that we will do together will be focused on the present and the future.
However, we will also look to your past to gain information, which will help you take steps
forward. I will help you reach your goals by utilizing insights into personal roadblocks, help with
how communication styles, relational dynamics, and cognitive processes interact with feelings
and help with skills necessary to move forward and improve your life.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 6 years of experience. I received my M.A. in
Mental Health Counseling from City University of Seattle and am currently licensed in
Washington state. Prior to obtaining my Master’s I earned my B.A. in Human Development from
Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I have had the privilege of working alongside a wide array of individuals as a provider in a
community setting, providing a variety of individual, group and familial counseling techniques
and intervention strategies.
I grew up in Northern New Mexico, lived in Colorado for 6 years, and have now lived in
Washington since 2013. I enjoy getting outside and being active, whether that be snowboarding,
hiking, running, neighborhood walks, I just enjoy being out in nature. I also enjoy indoor
activities such as binge watching television shows and movies (mostly comedy and action),
cooking, and playing board games.
