Deb is a Licensed Psychologist with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from SUNY Buffalo. She received her B.A in psychology from Kent State University. Her training included both an internship at Notre Dame University's Counseling Center and the Buffalo Psychiatric Center. Deb has served on several boards in her professional career in Ohio including the Community Counseling and Crisis Center as well as committees at Miami University. Currently, she serves on the board of Directors of the Northwest Behavioral Health Independent Provider Association as Treasurer and Registrar.
Deb moved to Washington in 2005 and since then has served in a temporary psychologist position at the Counseling Center at Western Washington University as well as a private practitioner in another group practice until joining Skagit Behavioral Health in 2014. She draws upon a number of theoretical and practice orientations including cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, psychodynamic and feminist therapy. She also incorporates a spiritual orientation for those wanting to explore the larger meaning of their life and purpose.
Deb has training and experience working with college students and adults with issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, chronic pain, assertiveness and relationship and communication skills.
